Agrasar Bachpan

Comviva strongly believes in, and supports the thought that children are truly the future. Taking a significant step towards this, the company works with the Agrasar Bachpan project and brings public school education to the underprivileged. The children enrolled in the project see a new ray of hope and some of them have been enrolled into proper government schools. Not just education, but we also carry our health checkups, give the children access to a library and carry out stitching classes for them. The efforts are all directed to give them the chance of a future which they can be proud of.

Nele

Through this project, we were able to provide shelter, food and education to 300 children across 9 centres in and around Bangalore. The children saw a ray of hope in our efforts and we saw many a smile light up the dark lives that they lead. The project achieved the following results:

Provided vocational training in computers and tailoring.

Provided school uniforms, book and tutorials to become a brighter kid in school.

Awarded the 'Best Child Care Institution' by the Govt. of Karnataka in 2010 and 2011.

Saw many children pass the 7th, 10th and 12th board exams with flying colors.

Bharti Foundation

The reputed Bharti Foundation has instituted the Changemaker Awards, a platform which recognizes companies for their work in the area of Corporate Responsibility. The jury for this is the creme de la creme of the corporate world who know what matters and makes a difference. For the awards of 2015, Comviva got the jury’s attention and made an impressive pitch to grab the Gold Medal in the Social & Community Initiatives division. The efforts of Comviva seemed worthy of such a pedestal to the judges, and a milestone for us to surpass in the coming year.

Tech M Foundation

Comviva’s yet another social responsibility towards education, employment and technical education of the underprivileged is the Tech Mahindra Foundation. It works to bring light into the world of the deprived by going that extra mile and actually starting projects to provide them a better future. It is a one way ticket for Comviva’s dedication to such programmes as we don’t want anything in return. Purely selfless initiatives which are designed to empower people.
